The results of the "Hong Kong Student Chinese Culture Essay Competition," co-organized by the Hong Kong Education Promotion Association, Hong Kong International Music Festival, Hong Kong Self-Reliance Foundation, and Hong Kong Parents' Association, have recently been announced. Our school students stood out among numerous entries with their unique perspectives on cultural classics.

• Silver Award Winner: HUANG KEWEN (Class 2B)
Ho-man's essay, titled "Listening to the Butterfly Lovers: Embracing the Beauty of Culture," integrates the piece "Butterfly Lovers" throughout the text. She employs synesthesia to activate the spirit of music over millennia, using the central image of a "squared courtyard" to dissect the shackles of feudal rites on women. Through the romantic transformation into a butterfly, she reveals a critique of class and cultural reflection in "a new life within the shackles."

• Merit Award Winner: ZHENG Yaqi (Class 2B)
Nga-ki, through her essay "Unwavering Until Death," explores the significance of "Butterfly Lovers" with beautiful prose that seeks the charm of music, while narrating the story of Liang Zhu, embodying the profound national spirit.

We congratulate the award-winning students for carrying forward the cultural torch and expressing their youthful creativity! We hope all students will aspire to emulate the exemplary and collectively promote the Chinese civilization that flows in our veins.
